Does anyone know any games like the ad of King's choice? The actually game itself is nowhere close to it. Don't get me wrong, the game is fun to play, but it should've been advertised a lot differently.

2022.01.22 00:24 leilakei Watch battery replaced?

Hi everyone! I need to get a battery replaced in a couple of my watches but wasn’t sure where to go. I moved here last year and back home I’d just go to a jewelry kiosk in the mall but I haven’t really explored Columbus since moving here because of the pandemic. I’m looking for something affordable but decent work. Thanks in advance!

2022.01.22 00:24 Laymayo Should I get tested for dysgraphia?

Recently I've been trying to improve my handwriting, which is really bad. I whimsically looked up symptoms of dysgraphia and then started to do some very professional Google research on it, and I think there is a high chance I have it. However, would what happen after I get diagnosed? Would I get some medicine and/or mechanical therapy to help "fix" my motor problems? Thanks.

my beautiful puppy girl is very sick and she is probably going to pass tonight or tomorrow morning, she has been a huge staple of my childhood since i got her in early elementary school. I dont go 30 minutes without crying and dreading whats inevitably going to happen very soon. is there anything i should do to prepare, or feel a satisfying closure to her life before she passes? it doesnt help that i just lost both grandparents earlier this week as well, im really just terrified for whats about to happen.

2022.01.22 00:24 gonzeaux-baby bullshit econ question

i came here because me, my sister, and both my parents cannot seem to answer a question i have gotten on one of my econ assighnments. wanted to see if i can get help from the internet.
like a good economist, you calculated the opportunity cost of getting your college degree. suppose that at your university, you will pay $10,000 each year for tuition, $2,500 each year for textbooks, and $10,000 per year for room and board. before you left for college, your boss at your high school job offered you a job paying $15,000 per year.
assume that you decide not to go to college, your parents would not let you live at home.
what is your opportunity cost for four years of college?

2022.01.22 00:24 artness12 5 min read - how stupid does this scan? Positive vibes from Japan for your constructive crit, arigatou (bowing deeply)!

ROLLA.PERSONAL.ESSAY

I wish to be an Assistant Language Teacher because it is a positive transcendental experience. These are My Terms: "Positive" is socially symbiotic. “Teaching” is sharing valid knowledge with others who did not have it previously. “Transcendental” is an awareness of that which is greater than myself. “Experience” is the accurate reflection of the universe inside my head with the one outside it.
What I really aim for though is to be an Awesome Assistant Language Teacher. I know the way.
For the way, first, I pack a robust constitution, good health running in my family. As of this writing, for example, the last time I missed a day of work was seven years ago due to food poisoning (four, ghastly, days, actually), probably have killed most others, close to certain I am the grateful recipient of my grandparent's hardiness, three of them working professionally deep into their seventies, and might as well add that three of those beloved grandparents were teachers, then my father was also an instructor, and my sisters too are involved in this transcendental experience so... not just my oakish health but my disposition too... might be... genetic? Well, regardless of any nature/nurture particulars, more importantly, my previous employers will testify I am not only solidly consistent but extremely punctual as bonus, like, Japanese punctual.
Compounding these likely genetics, add my life-long interest in language, having been raised bilingual Argentine Spanish < > Standard American English. An earliest memory, for example, was curiosity about the word(s) “carrera” and “race”, and such curiosities developing into studies of French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, and now a little bit of Japanese, and, to date, a reading of at least a meter of shelf under a broad “Language” heading, richly loamy, turns out, for sixteen years of professional interpreting, then fifteen years of professional language instruction, of those, twelve in Japan, three of those as an Assistant Language Teacher, one of those an extra-challenging academic year following the 2011 tsunami in Ishinomaki, Miyagi.
Bummer, alas, those three years as an Assistant Language Teacher were contracted via dispatch companies. Yes, the Transcendental aspect of My Terms diluted to the point I sought employment elsewhere. Yes, there were many indications with dispatch companies, their shiny offices, such resources not in teaching, just for starters. Some fun etymology? The word “company” derives from Latin, meaning “with bread”, as in “breaking bread together”, as in “sharing”. To hazard a metaphor, dispatch companies get the shiny bits and the rest get crumbs, slippery privatization if US healthcare is greater indication, and certainly bad company if symbiosis is the measure. Yes, though mere anecdote, those three years were enough for me, thank you, seek to break bread with the same team. With you. Us.
Also us, sharing that bread, that company, on the other side of the desk, are the students, of course, their success, their failure, and all their muddling in between our success, our failure, all our muddling in between. And that desk, that table, that way I set requires considered preparation but is easy once rolling: for each class a double-sided A5 which the students can pencil notes on, twentyish percent new material, eightyish review, collect the A5s at the end of class, then return them with my own penciled feedback the following class with a freshly prepped A5 for that day, implore the students to keep them all tidily, at least for test day, hopefully for life. Initial classes I introduce one or two five to seven minute activity stations per class involving two to four students, a card game, say, or flash card preparation or mutual quizzing, I and/or the Japanese English Teacher monitoring, bolstering, shoring up the wayward, then the students stand up, move one or two chairs to the left, new partners or groups, next activity station, repeat, each subsequent class scaffold and add new activities until the students are familiar with a lively variety of drill, then class is comprised of four to seven of a possible ten or twelve stations. All activities are geared towards active recall, production, combination, understanding, spaced repetition, dozens of language acts per student per class. This setting introduces constant novelty, reduces goofing around, fosters cooperative learning, gives stronger students opportunity to teach others. And works a treat!
What might work an even better treat is a flipped classroom via the internet. Currently I am experimenting with four junior high students, giving them QR codes to videos I post and some that are already online to check out voluntarily, recently music videos and slow readings with parallel text, corresponding karaoke videos. The following class we check out the material. Totally voluntary, def some of the hits are me and my mom, but since I do zero SEO, thinking those four boys are the other hits. Def received encouraging feedback about Beatles from them, and this alone is worth the effort, never mind the language exposure it must entail. Early results are warranting further efforts. The dream is to have a wiki video channel of English instruction for not only Japan but the world. This could be the “Awesome” component of aiming to be an Awesome Assistant Language Teacher.
However Awesome I aim though, I defer at all times to the Japanese English Teacher, for, not only am I “Assistant” before “Awesome”, but, to risk another metaphor due to the rapidly approaching end of the page two limit there, I am the leaf on the tree, not the tree. Want me to repeat after the CD? Kashikomarimashita, Sensei! Salute, 'bout face smartly, push play without wasted movement, and repeat... whatever... with nothing but smiles, all harmony and consensus, me, little me, filling any space given, smiling, at least until my contract runs out.
So, um, yeah, in conclusion, um, thanks for, um, reading. I made a 30 minute video with more details per your intrigue, but keep in mind it was a rush job, first and only take, unscripted, unrehearsed, indeed, unshowered. More intrigue? Gimme a shot. Tailwinds!

2022.01.22 00:24 kachungamachunga Any ‘easier’ math courses that may fulfill a minor?

I was honestly wondering if any math courses 27 or higher (like mat 27 or higher or something) were not insanely intensive or manageable to do, that could help when working towards a minor (the minor requiring linear algebra of course and 3 other math classes 27 level or higher). I know that sounds silly because brandeis’ math department is hard, but I was just wondering about other peoples experience. Anything helps!

2022.01.22 00:24 Astre_Azure Lost my Y0 save data, should I restart?

So back in 2018 I picked up Yakuza 0 and quickly fell in love with it. I played regularly for a couple of months, but thanks to a combo of other games I wanted to play coming out, life getting a lot busier, and other assorted stuff, I ended up pushing the game to the side for quite a while. I would come back probably a couple of times per year intending to finally finish the main story, get distracted by side content, then put the game away again when something else came up. I ended up playing a total of about 80 hours, completing every sub story I came across and making it through what I assume was at least a good chunk of the main story.
Yesterday I came back once again, intending to dedicate all my gaming time to finally finishing Y0 before Elden Ring comes out, only to discover much to my horror that my save data had gone missing at some point.
I really want to finish this game and probably play though the rest of the series at some point, but I don't really know what to do now. Should I just start over and rush through the story until I catch up to where I was? Watch the rest on YouTube? I feel like my memory of at least the important broad strokes of the plot is pretty good, so I don't think I would need to fully rewatch all the cutscenes or anything.
